With a little boy that is just over a year and a half and a newborn you better believe I am doing laundry like crazy! My little boy has had sensitive skin since birth. Like if I was wearing makeup and my face touched his, he would have a reaction. That is kind of tough when you are snuggling a newborn. We had to make quite a few adjustments after talking to his pediatrician and it took us a bit to figure out but with the all® free clear laundry soap being the #1 sensitive skin brand we have had no reactions and I don't have to worry about his skin anymore. Now that we have a new baby we are using the same soap and I don't have to worry about her either since it is the #1 detergent recommended by dermatologists, pediatrician and allergists for sensitive skin. I don't know if it is the same for your house but Summertime seems to be full of more laundry with grass stains and Popsicles stains so it is nice to have a solution to multiple problems. It has also been a time of getting creative with ideas for little man while I recover from having a baby. One of our favorite things to do is sit on the patio, play with play dough and eat popcicles. He has been so patient while I recover it is the least I can do.
Homemade Play Dough
1 cup flour
1/2 cup water
1/4 cup salt
3 tsp lemon juice
3 tbsp oil
Food coloring
On low in a saucepan mix together all ingredients until in creates a dough consistency. Remove from heat and add food coloring. When your little ones are done playing just put the play dough in baggies in the fridge.
What are some activities you like to do with your little ones in the Summer? Do you feel like you are always doing laundry? One tip I have found that is great with my little ones sensitive skin is I use the all® free clear at home and buy the all® free clear mighty pacs® too to throw in a little ziplock for travel! This makes it so I can get some laundry done if I have a washer and dryer available and I don't have loads of laundry to do when I get home and I don't have to worry about anyone having an allergic reaction. Problem solved for my sensitive skinned messy boy! I picked up all my products at my local Walmart down the laundry aisle.
